Scholarships

The Kentucky REALTOR® Institute was incorporated in March 1990 to serve as the educational arm of Kentucky REALTORS®. The Foundation is dedicated to providing education, services and research for members of Kentucky REALTORS®, Kentucky real estate licensees and the public. The Trustees of the Foundation are continuously reviewing the potential to determine various meaningful projects with one important endeavor being annual scholarships.

As such, KRI makes scholarships available to members who want to obtain their Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI) designation as well as provide scholarships to Kentucky residents (members and non-members) who wish to pursue a career in real estate and further their education at a postsecondary institution.

We are proud to announce a new scholarship called “The Linzie Craig Broker Education Scholarship“. This new scholarship has been named in memory of our good friend and fellow REALTOR® Linzie Craig. Being a Broker and his love for education, we wanted to keep his memory alive with this new scholarship.

Linzie was perhaps one of the most influential members of our community. The world lost an incredible, kind-hearted person who defined and embodied the term selfless. Professionally, his accomplishments include serving as President of KYR in 1997, being awarded the KYR REALTOR® of the Year honor in 1999, and the KYR Distinguished Service Award in 2017. He served as a mentor to dozens of LeadershipKYR class candidates through his passion for the LeadershipKYR program. In 2019, the “Linzie Craig LeadershipKYR Outstanding Alumni Award” was created to honor his commitment to up-and-coming association leaders.
